Design Challenges

During this internship, I worked on 3 main design challenges. Every devlog contains one sub-question regarding the design challenge. These are listed (including links) underneath the reading guide on the first page of this portfolio.

Contributing Devlogs

Upgrading Unity Version

Before actually upgrading the version, I researched what version SugarVita should upgrade to.

Graph

To fix this problem, I analysed the line renderer in Unity to get the desired results.

Refactor Code

I analysed the existing code and researched the meaning of "good code" to make sure the refactored code would actually be more sustainable and expandable.

Recording Virtual Opponent (Research)

To create the recording of a virtual opponent, I analysed what was already possible with the current project. I also analysed the documentation provided by the company on this topic.

Release Android (Research)

Before releasing SugarVita on Android, I researched how to release an app on the appstore.

Popup System

I analysed the problem of inconsistent and non-generic popups in SugarVita.

Challenges & Achievements

I analysed the market to find a solution to easily handle achievements in a game.

Achievements Backlog

I analysed the problem where achievements wouldn't track when the game is played without an internet connection.

GameBus Account (Concept)

Concepting how a GameBus account login should work (required or optional), I analysed the points of view of both SugarVita and GameBus representatives.
